The Clay County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy Alumni Association, founded in 2018, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer organization that works in partnership with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on community outreach programs to promote public safety and security through community engagement, education, and service initiatives.
The Mission of the Alumni Association is to promote a safer community through a process of educating community leaders about law enforcement, particularly the Clay County Sheriff’s Office
Each member of the Alumni Association is a graduate of a nine-week Clay County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy curriculum that focuses on local, county, and state law enforcement issues and challenges. The network of alumni meets periodically to prepare for upcoming community events, and continue to discuss state and local law enforcement matters.
