The Clay County Sheriff's Office uses Extra Duty Solutions to manage off-duty employment. Individuals or businesses who want to hire a CCSO deputy for security work should complete this online request.
If the detail is recurring or is multiple days, please document that information in the comments section. An EDS Account Manager will contact you for clarification if needed. Extra Duty Solutions will handle all invoicing. Payment information will accompany all invoices.
Off-duty employment requests are filled on a voluntary basis, and the potential for unfilled requests exists.
Rates (includes all fees)
Standard Deputy Rate: $58.27
Event Supervisor Rate: $64.10
Event Commander Rate: $69.93
Supervisor & Commander rate only applies if the deputy is acting as the Event Supervisor or Commander.
There is a four-hour minimum for each deputy scheduled.
Cancelation Policy
If the job is canceled 16 to 24 hours before the start time, the vendor will be required to pay half of the total hours requested per deputy, supervisor, or commander. If the job is canceled within 8 hours of the start time, closes the event early, or relieves personnel early for any circumstances other than personnel misconduct, the vendor will be required to pay for the entire amount due to the deputy, supervisor, or commander.
Large events
Events requiring five to nine deputies shall require one position to be an Event Supervisor. If the event requires five or more deputies, the total personnel required to work the event will be one supervisor per every four deputies. An event requiring ten or more deputies shall require one Event Supervisor for every four deputies and one Event Commander.
