Good news for local youth interested in law enforcement careers: we're starting an Explorers program! Law Enforcement Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women ages 14 through 20 years old, interested in a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.
We are hosting two recruitment events:
April 9, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
April 12, 10:30 a.m. to noon
Both are at the Sheriff's Office at 27 S. Main St., Liberty, MO. You'll get to check out our equipment, ask questions and meet with the program's directors. No need to register or RSVP - just show up!
Explorers offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition and other activities. The program also promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism.
