Residents are invited to get to know the public safety professionals who serve them in a fun environment for the whole family at Clay County’s biggest National Night Out event ever, happening tomorrow.
The free event will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 1 in the Liberty City Hall parking lot at E. Kansas and S. Leonard Streets, just east of the Square in Historic Downtown Liberty, Mo. It will feature police and fire equipment displays, inflatables, free Kona Ice for the first 400 people, a police obstacle course, exotic petting zoo, bubble party, give-aways, animals for adoption and more. Food trucks also will be on site with food available for purchase. KMZU 100.7 FM will be broadcasting live from the event.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Generous sponsors have helped the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Liberty Police Department make the event free to the public: Affordable Inflatables and Entertainment; Carnival Times, Thorni Ridge Exotics; Gladstone Hy-Vee; KC Bubble Parties; Climate Control Heating, Cooling and Plumbing; Northland Rolladium Skate Center; J&S Pizza; Iceberg’s; Firehouse Subs; Essig Family McDonald’s; Back in Time Comics and La Dulzura.
