The Clay County Sheriff’s Office’s 4th Annual Trunk or Treat event will showcase 14 different units from the agency, as well as community partners, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in the parking lot of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 N. State Route 291, Liberty, Mo.
Each unit is competing for the best-decorated trunk/display, and attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite.
Brave participants also can try to make their way through the Spooky Forest, where frightening encounters await!
The event is free, and all are welcome. Coffee and hot chocolate will be available to purchase.
Much of the candy that will be distributed at the event was donated by residents at collection bins in Clay County Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee and Price Chopper stores, as well as Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and Verimore Bank. The Sheriff’s Office is deeply appreciative of these residents and businesses. With their support, deputies can build a trusting relationship with youth through events like this one.
