Residents are invited to get to know the public safety professionals who serve them in a fun environment for the whole family at Clay County’s largest National Night Out event to date on Aug. 2.
The event will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 2 on and around the square in Historic Downtown Liberty, Mo. It will feature police and fire equipment displays, a police obstacle course, exotic petting zoo, inflatables, treats like snow cones and cotton candy and more. Everything is free, with the exception of donuts from the Cowtown Mini Donuts food truck.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Generous sponsors have helped the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Liberty Police Department make the event free to the public: Taking it to the Streets; Thorni Ridge Exotics; Climate Control Heating, Cooling and Plumbing; Chick-fil-A; Firehouse Subs and J&S Pizza.
